Bag System Filtration

Freedom Plastics is a manufacturer of bag filtration housings.

Our bag filtration housing is made of non-corrosive PVC or CPVC material. This material will never rust or corrode, eliminating the possibility of contaminating the process stream. Our ThreadLok™ filter housings are rated for 150 psi operating pressure at 73 degrees Fahrenheit. Durable PVC or CPVC construction is suitable for indoor or outdoor use with some of the harshest chemicals, including strong acids and bases and seawater. Freedom’s Baskets accept the industry standard 7" diameter Type I (16" length) and Type II (32" length) filtration bags. The standard piping connection is 2" NPT; various sizes of NPT, flanged, spigot or Victaulic groove are also available.

The unique design of the Snap-Fit™ retaining basket holds standard size bags in place. This provides the end user the purchasing flexibility of using multiple sources for replacement filter bags. The hand removable lid and basket make bag change-out fast and easy, without the need for tools, minimizing downtime. The filter bag can be changed out and the filter placed in operation again, in minutes. The Reversible Threaded Bottom is a distinctive feature of the Freedom Plastics' basket. This feature enables the user to adjust where the filter bag will "bottom-out" in the basket, providing additional support to the bag and minimizing the likelihood of bag breakage when heavily loaded.
