Freedom Plastics Inc certifies that all SDR26 and SDR21 Iron Pipe Size (IPS) drainage and pressure fittings fabricated by Freedom Plastics are inspected in accordance with ASTM D-2122.

IPS fittings are made from SDR26, SDR21 or Schedule 40 pipe, which meets or exceeds all specifications in accordance with ASTM D2241.

The base material used in the manufacture of this pipe conforms to ASTM D1784, with a cell classification of 12454B Type 1, Grade 1.

In the absence of an ASTM specification for 8"-24" fabricated IPS SDR26-CL160 and SDR21-CL200 gasketed pressure fittings; Freedom Plastics Inc. conforms to internal specifications for pressure ratings and testing.

The gasketed bell ends and the lock-in Rieber type and the gasket joints conform to ASTM D-3139 and are formed using gaskets, which meet all requirements of ASTM F-477.

Freedom Plastics' IPS gasketed pressure fittings have been designed and manufactured to accommodate and perform as inline fittings in pressure systems. Standard fittings are tested and certified to the maximum operating pressures listed in each item heading unless otherwise noted.

A system embracing a patented method of forming a plastic pipe round a reinforced sealing ring of rubber assuring that the seal stays fit and makes an effective joint for the life of the pipe.
