Freedom Plastics' DR14, DR18 and DR 25 C-900 pressure pipe will meet or exceed all performance specifications of AWWA C-900-97, when tested in accordance with ASTM D-2122. DR18 and DR 25 C-905 pressure pipe will meet or exceed all performance specifications of AWWA C-905-97, when tested in accordance with ASTM D-2122.

The basic material used in the manufacture of this pipe conforms to ASTM D-1784 with a cell classification of 12454, type 1 grade 1. Pure-Blue® is colored blue for quick in-ground identification as water-main pipe.

Freedom Plastics' Pure-Blue® C-900 and C-905 pipe is listed with U.L. and meets the U.L. 1285 requirements. Each piece is marked with the U.L. symbol. Pure-Blue® pipe is listed with NSF under Standard 61 for toxicology and health effects. C900 and C905 pipe marked with <FM> meets appropriate FM requirements.

The wall thickness of the bell shall meet or exceed the requirements of AWWA C-900-97 or AWWA C-905-97; whichever is applicable. C900/C905 gasketed bell pressure pipe is available in 20-foot laying lengths (20-foot plus the bell). The gasketed bell ends for this pipe are the locked-in Rieber type. The gaskets conform to ASTM F-477. The joints conform to ASTM D-3139, Section 3.1.2.

Without exception, each length of pipe is hydrostatically tested during production at our facility.

Freedom Plastics also manufactures AWWA C-900 and C-905 pressure pipe in Green color for sewer force-mains, and Violet color for reclaimed water systems.

Product Identification

Freedom Plastics' C900 & C905 pressure pipe is conveniently colored for quick in-ground identification. In addition, Freedom utilizes state-of-the-art inkjet printing at specified intervals to clearly identify the pipe.
